PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ADOPTION OF SCHOOL FACILITIES FEES

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Waterford Unified School District will hold a public hearing on the proposed adoption of school facilities fees on residential and commercial/industrial development.

The proposed fees would be levied for the purpose of funding the construction and reconstruction of school facilities necessary to maintain current levels of educational services to children in the District.

If you wish to obtain additional information concerning the above, please contact Superintendent Don Davis at 219 N. Reinway Ave., Waterford, Ca 95386 or telephone the Superintendent at (209) 874-1809.

The Superintendent’s Report on the proposed increased fees is on file in the Office of the Superintendent, and is available for public review.  Members of the public are invited to provide comment in writing on or before December 8, 2017 at the above office.

The Board’s consideration of the increased fees is scheduled for December 14, 2017 at the regularly scheduled meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room at Richard Moon Primary School, 319 N. Reinway Ave, Waterford, Ca.

Any person challenging in court the decision made at the conclusion of such public hearing may be limited to raising only those issues raised at such hearing or in correspondence delivered to the school district prior to the close of such hearing.

Waterford Leads 3 Counties in College / Career Preparedness

These data were recently released by the California Department of Education: School district college & career preparedness indicator (CCI).  http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/cm/cci.asp

Identifying the percent of 2015 seniors that graduated "prepared" according to the state's CCI metric (College & Career Indicator = prepared).  Though there's room for improvement, look where Waterford landed in the 3 county region:
